Self optimization leads inevitably toward fascism
Believing that one can perfect oneself leads to a lack of tolerance for perceived "imperfections," a blind belief in objective reality and so-called "rational" thought that dovetails with white cishet dude ideals. There's an intolerance for difference/diversity, for emotion, for ambiguity and uncertainty and humanity that tends to come with trying to optimize one's memory or workflow.
